According to a decade of research into self-compassion, being kind to yourself is the most powerful thing you can do! In fact, comforting and caring for yourself as you would a good friend can transform your life. Consider the impact if you just stopped judging yourself as “good” or “bad” and, instead, accepted yourself with a soft heart. Loads of research highlight the benefits of self-compassion on well-BEING as: greater happiness, life satisfaction and motivation, better relationships and physical health, and less anxiety and depression. And it is stated that people who practice self-compassion have the resilience needed to cope with stressful life events. Further, it even motivates us to reach goals because we care about ourselves and want to reach our full potential. Let’s all learn to give ourselves this way of Being!
