Program Description

This is a workshop perfect to offer at schools and libraries. Yoga supports positive mental health and brain function in children. Yoga also teaches children how to relax, self-regulate, develop body awareness, find their inner balance, build confidence and concentration, improve school performance, and just have some fun. Provide this workshop and lead children in: yoga poses, mindful breathing, playing yoga-themed games, and quiet meditation. Not only is yoga natural movement for children, it has grounding and balancing methods for children with ADHD and calming suggestions for children on the autistic spectrum. Even ideas for transitions, state changes, and group "quietness" are shared. Delivering this throughout a child’s day allows children to express themselves and build social skills in a fun and safe atmosphere with other children.
